I am sure once MS has a released product, there will be more information about this. Keep in mind the information might not be what you are looking for, but until the product ships it is hard to tell what might need to happen to make things work...

So far... it doesn't like backslashes in the IMAP folder names, they displayed w/ two backslashes, but would not show the messages in the folder. A quick rename fixed that. trying Zimbra iSync w/ connector 5.0.1496 -- not sure calendar stuff is working... still trying though...

Default 2008 defitly has soem issues.

So far entourage and zimbra sync 5 are not playing to nice. I am getting endless conflicts. I let one or there win, get a couple rounds of no conflicts then it starts up again claiming the same conflicts all over.

Also I noticed even before installing office 2008 that with zimbra 5.0.1 and the zimbra 5 ical sync that he conflict resolver is 'Constantly' pooping up, even if just report no conflicts (data change alert is set to off in the UI but it's ignoring that I think)

Doesn't seem to be a way to mount shared folders like in 2003/2007 by opening others mail

What is the conflict resolver reporting as conflicts?

Thanks,

Scott

Well it often, helpfully (read annoying as heck), pops up every couple minutes to report no conflicts but it was doing that pre entourage.

The main bone of contention seems to be with server thinking I'm a required participant and the entourage thinking I'm not a option requirement. Neither side seems to win the sync. I also did a full data reset but the issues just keep coming back.

Okay. So just to make sure I'm understanding...the iSync Connector is telling the sync engine that you are a required participant of meeting 'X', and Entourage is telling the sync engine that you are an optional participant of meeting 'X'. And everytime you go to sync, there is a conflict.

Is that accurate?

Thanks,

Scott

yes.

However it is complaining about a bunch of other syncs too and I can't always see what bits seem to be the issue. I have just disabled the entourage support for now.

I'll upload the sync logs, don't know if it will help (getting an error trying to up load the others but here is first one)
sync.0.log

I just filed Bug 23841 - iSync Connector and Entourage 2008 create sync conflicts. This bug can be used to track this issue. Thanks very much for reporting the problem.

Default Bugzilla RFE for full Entourage Support

Whether Entourage 2008 is fully supported is ambiguous to me based on the current help documentation, this forum, and the referenced bug.

I have created bug 26542 for the purpose of clarification.
