Hello all,
our company is about to deploy the network edition to our users. While everything works fine with IMAP, the web front-end and the Outlook connector, we have problems with the sync of shared calendars via the iSync connector.
Some technical details:
We are running server version 4.5.6_GA_1023 under Mac OS X (workstation OS, not the server version), the clients are running 10.4.8 to 10.4.10 and Connector 4.5.6 GA 1020.
What I did to share a company calendar:
- created a user who owns a calendar named "Company" (this user is only owning and sharing the calendar and address book - some kind of a role-account).
- had this user sent sharing announces to other users
- the other users each logged into web frontend and clicked "accept share" in the mail window.
- shared calendar shows up as intended in both web frontend and outlook, with appropriate access rights (read, write, edit and create new appointments)
I think this is the canonical way to share a calendar? Something wrong with that?
Problem is still that the calendar named "Company" refuses to show up in the client's iCal and it neither shows up in the sync pref-pane. Strangely enough, on some machines the appointments do show up, although in the wrong calendar and only with read permissions.
I already tried the "reset sync history" as advised in this forum - to no avail.
Did I do something wrong?
Is there a known bug with iSync?
Has anyone similar problems?
Any hints?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
