The Zimbra Team is pleased to announce Zimbra Collaboration Suite 5.0.1 has been released. We strongly encourage all 5.0 installations to upgrade to this release.
Some notable fixes:
Bug 23253 - an expired CA cert will block mail delivery after upgrading to 5.0.0 Bug 23294 - commercial certs fail to install Bug 23323 - Thunderbird gives "application out of memory" errors on opening IMAP sub-folders Bug 23434 - Failed 5.0 upgrade with error 'Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libltdl.3.dylib'
Additionally, there is a security fix for Jetty in 5.0.1. The Jetty webserver contains a vulnerability that may allow an attacker to access private files or directories. See:
US-CERT Vulnerability Note VU#553235
Publish Calendar as HTML gets an update:
In 5.0, we added the ability to go to http:// server.domain.com/home/username/Calendar.html to see an easily readable day/week/month view. (The publisher must share the calendar specifically or publicly in order for you to see it.)
Another new & cool ability in 5.0.1 is to get free busy info by visiting http:// server.domain.com/home/username?fmt=freebusy which will display an aggregate HTML calendar for all the user's free-busy data. (Of course you can always choose to select "exclude this calendar when reporting free/busy times" if you wish.)
As always, we
strongly encourage you to
perform a full backup before performing any server maintenance. It may take longer, but you'll be better in the end
