I temporarily went back to M2 cause of the garbling ... when I go back to M3 later this week I'll let you know if this happens again or if it was just a hicup. Thanks for your help.

Best place to get the source is from cvs.

Isn't there a cvs tag, a tgz or something like to get M3 source? I'm affraid to get the lastest source from cvs and also get the lastest bugs... :P

Is this a 64 bit linux install?

I've reinstalled it on the same box, so far uptime is 9 days 4:07 without any problems, must just have been a random hicup.
