ZCS 5.0 Beta 2 is Out!

We're happy to announce that Zimbra Collaboration Suite 5.0 Beta 2 has been released.

There were many enhancements to this beta which include feature enhancements, and server performance/stability issues.

As those of you who installed Beta 1 noticed, we are moving away from tomcat to Jetty. The Tomcat service has been renamed the mailbox server, and the log is /opt/zimbra/log/mailboxd.log

This is a beta build, and we do not recommend running this build in a production environment. There are several known issues, and we are releasing for bug reporting/testing purposes.

Beta 2 is only available to Open Source users and new platforms include:

• RHEL5 32-bit
• RHEL5 64-bit
• OpenSUSE 10.2 32-bit
• SLES 10 32-bit

This is not the next release in the bug fix cycle for 4.5.6. 4.5.7 is the next scheduled production release.
