    Default zimbra & utf8

    Hi everybody,

    I'm using Zimbra with the french language traduction. i don't have any problem with accent and special characters if i send a mail from zimbra, it's well displayed in my sent mails.
    But, some mails from different domaine are not well displayed. One example is with the opensource helpdesk, GLPI.
    i'm running zimbra on debian 4 and here is the output of locale:
    LANG=fr_FR
    LANGUAGE=fr
    LC_CTYPE="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_NUMERIC="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_TIME="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_COLLATE="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_MONETARY="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_MESSAGES="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_PAPER="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_NAME="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_ADDRESS="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_TELEPHONE="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_MEASUREMENT="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_IDENTIFICATION="fr_FR.UTF-8"
    LC_ALL=fr_FR.UTF-8

    Default Not our fault!

    I think it's something else running on your network. Perhaps the "mimedefang" program?

    I see that the message in question is multipart/alternative. The "text/plain" half looks fine. The "text/html" part has been changed to read
    Code:
    hey,
    t'en as eu pour combien en double de clé ?
    and I'm pretty sure you didn't originally end that word with an A-with-a-tilde and a copyright symbol.

    You have attached 2 messages. The first one is malformed (you aren't allowed to put spaces around the '=' in the Content-Type MIME headers)
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset = "utf-8"
    and the second one has been munged by some intermediate scanner
    X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.33 (www . roaringpenguin . com / mimedefang)

    hey,
    t'en as eu pour combien en double de clé ?
    In 5.0 beta2 we should support the first message properly. There's nothing we can do about the second message, as it was corrupted before it got to Zimbra.

    (PS - Make sure you're not running 4.5.1 or 4.5.2...)
