Default Possible Notebook Bug (404 on new window)

When logged in as a normal user(https://host.com/zimbra/mail), clicking on Documents and then on "New Window" opens a new window to this URL:
https://host.com/home/user@host.com/Notebook//
The URL results in a 404 error. Removing the extra / so that the URL looks like this:
https://host.com/home/user@host.com/Notebook/
Successfully renders a notebook page (which in my case is empty because there is nothing there yet).

This is on a just upgraded 4.5.6 NE from 4.5.5 NE edition.

Looking around the forum and bugzilla the only thing which looked "close" was this: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/adminis...nts-error.html but I am not sure it is the same problem.

Cheers,

RioGD

jholder> Your bugzilla searching skills seem a bit superior to mine.
That does look like it might be the same bug but it is far more simple for me to duplicate than the several steps outlined there.
I simply go to "Documents" then press "New Window". I don't have to create a document or anything else to achieve it, nor do I have to change a page name, so I believe the bug description is perhaps inaccurate, at least for my setup.
Also in my case the resulting URL for the new window ends in two forward slashes, removing the extra one so that it ends in only one results in a properly displayed page.
Are you able to duplicate this ? If not I can add the information I have got to the bugzilla page to see if the original poster can go back and try the more simple, two click way, of causing it.

Cheers,

RioGD

Is this a notebook you own, or a shared notebook?

I am not actually sure. This is on a fresh installation, logging in as a normal user, clicking on the "Document" tab and then clicking on the "New Window" button.
I am not sure if the default displayed empty notebook is a shared one or private one. Its the one that was already there.
If it would be of any help I can screenshot what I am getting, please let me know.

Cheers,

RioGD

Default Resolution?

Has anyone come across a resolution or workaround? I'm experiencing this issue now with ZCS NE 5.0.1. It's with my own Notebook, and is not shared to anyone. I had about 10 documents in my Notebook, but now switching to the Notebook tab only displays 404 in small text where the documents should be listed. I just noticed the issue this morning and can't think of a single thing in our setup that has changed. We're doing the 5.0.2 upgrade in the next few days, but seeing as how this bug is still marked as unresolved I'm not too hopeful that the upgrade will fix this. Any ideas?

I went from 5.0 to 5.0.2 and Documents & Notebooks seem to work fine for us. Note I'm using FF 2.0.0.12 for the web client browser.

Got it figured out -- it wasn't even a Zimbra issue at all. Our proxy wasn't configured quite right and the backend requests were getting jumbled up. Bypass the proxy, however, and the Documents section works like a charm again. Ah well, mystery solved
