The *ULTIMATE* 451 / convertd problem thread!

I'm running on RHEL 4 AS x86_64 and see lots of hs_error_pid#.log files in my /tmp directory. They all refer to convertd. I get some errors like the one below in the convertd.log. I verified that I have the required compat-gcc libraries are installed. Does Zimbra require this process to be running or can it be disabled? I see it in the Admin Extensions page, but it doesn't appear that you can disable it.

I also have this problem. When i turn off indexing of documents of the account and requeue the email they go trough. Then i enabled the indexing again.

I use 4.5.6 NE Pro on RHEL. I could sure file a ticket, but seems like there are som tickets on this and would be great to hear if there is any solution on this now?

Convertd is used to handle attachment conversion so that many attachments types may be viewed as HTML even when the application that created them is not present on your system.
