Can't access admin console

heck, I don't even know if you had it up and running, and suddenly lost the admin console, or if you never could get it in the first place...
-zmcontrol status
-anything in /opt/zimbra/tomcat/logs/catalina.out or mailbox.log?
-netstat -a (to see if anything is bound to 7071)
-firewall? (can you get to the admin console if you attempt via a webbrowser on the zimbra server itself?)

I don´t have any firewall and can acces from local machine.

and /opt/zimbra/tomcat/logs/catalina.out is empty.

Is posible to add a dns name to the admin console ?
