    Default LDAP configuration

    Hi,

    I would like thank all the people who will be looking forward to help me.

    I have problem in configuring Zimbra LDAP server for my network. I would like to configure the same LDAP server for other activities in our network such as user Authentication, user rights and privilegese and outlook integration for retriving address book and other details.

    Can somebody pls help me out and provide detail step by step guidance.

    We're evaluating Zimbra here. I'm using LDAP for external authentication.
    You can find how to do this in the Admin Handbook, you need to configure GAL and Authentication services.

    Other items seem to be stored in a combination of the database and the Zimbra LDAP schema and I don't think it's worth the effort to pull it apart. You can integrate the Zimbra schema if you want the pain but the items in the database will remain there and that seems to me a good reason to keep all the Zimbra items inside of Zimbra.
