Default same problem here

we have the same error here:

2007-08-13 06:38:31,200 ERROR [Pop3Server-870]
[name=XXXX@DOMAIN.com;ip=XXX.89.57.5;] MailboxIndex - Caught Exception
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/zimbra/index/0/10/index/0/_aet.tis (Too many open files) in MailboxIndex.closeIndexWriter

It seems that Zimbra hangs up cca at the same time each day.

OS: Debian Linux, server: SunFire X4100M2, 4GB RAM, dual core amd opteron 2.4GHz, cca 250 e-mail accounts. Any idea what happens here?

Is there a command to regenerate all indexes (even if it takes a long time)? Maybe that would help, if it really is index related...

Looks like your running 4.5.4
Try to upgrade to 4.5.6, and see if that fixed your issue.

Default 4.5.4?

Hi,

no, I'm running this one:

zcs-4.5.6_GA_1044.DEBIAN3.1.tgz

it happens every day when cron.daily is executed (around 6:40 in the morning). Maybe it's a different issue than original poster, but this happens everyday with the same error (too many open files).

Please file a bug, and please include repo steps to help us track down the issue.
Thanks!
