Default Mail Route for Same Domain

    Hi,

We required one typical setup in our organization. We have one domain abc.com it is hosted thru our web space provider. We have approx 250 user. Out of that approx 150 users are at remote site and remaining are in office. We create all user account on external web site (250).

We had done setup of Zimbra and add abc.com domain in same and create 100 internal user account. Now we want to route my reaming 150 users mail to out side of Zimbra and 100 users mail route internally in Zimbra.

e.g. if "a" user send mail to "b@abc.com" & "c@abc.com" users if "b" user is internal then Zimbra route mail to internally and "c" user is external then it will send mail to external world.

Is this type of setup is possible in Zimbra?

This is also the scenario I'm investigating - we need to migrate some users and the rest will follow at a later point. History has shown me that this sort of thing gets messy but I'd love to know if there was a starting point in Zimbra.

Is there a setting for external server of last resort? Which would probably lead to making sure there weren't potential mail loops

Does the split domain point you in the right direction?

Thanks Phoenix, it does yes. I had sorta come up with the same info scenario by looking at the Zimbra Postfix configuration. It's good to see it detailed on that page.

Now the problem is figuring out how to make GroupWise play fair...

Not always an easy task. If you have any further questions I'm sure that some of our forum Groupwise users should be able to help.
