Default Thunderbird monitor quota

Does zimbra support getquota?

Found this thread, but not much else
Get mailbox size (for create quota warning SMTP script)

We would like the option of our users monitoring their quota from Thunderbird.

Tried this
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/881

No bar or warnings.

Yes, Zimbra should support GETQUOTA, though I have to admit that it hasn't been tested as hard as the core IMAP functionality. If you can include an IMAP protocol trace from the plugin, that'd really help...

I have new details that may help.

The Plugin stops working with granted quotas somewhere in the 2000+MB range. Independent of space in use... It reverts to 'No Quota'

It seems like a math problem, dust off the divide by zero overflow...

Does the server do the math or does the client?

Zimbra fix or Plugin fix?

Default Our bug!

Zimbra bug! We were reading the quota as a 32-bit integer, capped at 2GB. This is now bug 17165 and will be fixed in the second 5.0 beta.

Hi there,
I know that this discussion is a little bit old and the bug 17165 is supposed to be fixed, but I still can't get any information about the quota using a specific plugin for Thunderbird, cause the response is "No Quota".

(please note that the very same combination of those Thunderbird/Add-On works well with other IMAP mail servers that I have before the migration)

Here are some details about my environment:
  • Zimbra 7.1.3_GA_3346 (version 20110928134705)
  • Thunderbird 3.1.16
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.24) Gecko/20111108 Lightning/1.0b2 Thunderbird/3.1.16
  • Add-On Display Quota 0.3.3.1

I tried in accessing the Zimbra server via ssl/telnet and here is the results of the getquotaroot/getquota commands:

Code:
. getquotaroot inbox
* QUOTAROOT "INBOX"
. OK GETQUOTAROOT completed

. getquota "*"
. NO GETQUOTA failed: unknown quota root

. getquota inbox
. NO GETQUOTA failed: unknown quota root

Not only is it supposed to be fixed, it was actually fixed four and a half years ago and it's still working - it also works for me.

That would be the correct response if the mailbox has an unlimited quota i.e. it has "No Quota".

Hi phoenix,
thanks for the prompt reply.

I contacted the admin which confirmed that there is no quota for the time being for our account, so the "No Quota" indication is just correct.
