Shared Calendar and GAL list

Hi,

'Everything' seems to be working as far as mail delivery goes.

I have two quick questions though because there are a couple of things I just ain't picking up on.

1.) Shared Calendar. created an email account called Company_Calendar. Says I can access via a hyperlink (http://myserver.com/home/company_calendar/Calendar/) ? So if user wants to see the company calendar they have to go to this web address? They can't select it from the webclient? Ideally it would show as a object in the Folders list.

2.) GAL List. I can search by name and find the user, but the names don't show up when I select the 'To' button for a new email like I would expect.

Am I just being dense and missing something in the config guide?

You don't say what client you are using, although in your previous post you mention working on the Outlook Connector. I can tell you that with the ZWC:
1) For the calendar, user A shares a calendar; user B gets a message about the share and if he/she accepts user A's calendar is now visible.
2) GAL List - user's name and email address show up when selected.

i was actually just using the advanced web client.

i'll check into both of those tips though.

2) after you select "To:" start typing a name, or type a '.' (period) make sure 'Show names from: Global Address List' is selected on the right.



1) Share properties for calendars (when you right click a calendar name)
-Internal; used only for people using zimbra at your same domain, (their email will be similar to yours) You can also choose a role for them. If you leave "send a standard message" set they will get an email; and when they accept it's automatically added to their calendars list.
-External Guests; enter their email and choose a password.
-Public; self explanatory and URL based

Another way to get to this calendar is via the URL that you mentioned.
If you just set it to public (or didn't send them an email invite when you did internal or external guests earlier):

First, right click the word 'calendars' -where my red dot is below.
Second, type in the full path: http://myserver.com/home/company_calendar/Calendar/
OR
email and a short path:
company_calendar@domain.com
/Calendar
