    Question FC6 Support ??

    Hi..

    is there going to be version built for Fedora Core 6 ?????

    How much longer is there going to be support for Fedora Core 7 ???

    All of this really depends on user demand. I don't even see a request in Bugzilla for a FC6. . .so that must mean that not many people want it

    If you do, I suggest someone file a request for it

    Of course the fact that FC5 has been marked end of life by Fedora Project...

    Fedora releases become obsolete according to Fedora one month after the release of the n+2 version. With the release of 7 several months ago, and the impending release of 8, this means Zimbra's distributions are very very out of date. The absence of a 64 bit release for Fedora is starting to look a little weak as well. I've filed an RFE 19920. In general it would be nice to see Zimbra keep up with releases (particularly security related) of the various packages it uses. At the moment it is a bit of a nightmare to protect.

    Fedora's somewhat insane release cycle makes this difficult (c'mon, how many months between 7 and 8?)

    To be honest, that's part of the reason I ditched Fedora at home for Ubuntu, and am about to ditch it at work for CENTOS.
