    Default Deferred mail

Our users often don't receive e-mails.

We then go to Zimbra Administration, click on Mail Queues and we see a lot of deferred mail.

We then have to reindex mailbox for every involved user and requeu the deferred mail to solve the problem.

What could be causing this deferred mail?

Don't have an answer for you, but if you post some more info about your Zimbra system it may help. What version of Zimbra are you running and under what OS? I can tell you that if you're not running the latest version (4.5.5) the number 1 suggestion is going to be to upgrade. Also what do the logs in /var/log (maillog and messages) and /opt/zimbra/log (mailbox.log) show about these deferrals?

You can ignore the errors in /var/log/zimbra.log - they're only a warning about a missing index (no, it shouldn't be indexed).

What is the version of the Kernel you have on your system, is it the most recent?
    Regards

    Bill

Can you check this bug entry and see if it applies to you, if it does you should upgrade your kernel.
    Regards
