So, are you telling me that this method doesn't work?

My suggestion the zimbra-way would be to create an account, devnull@domain.com or whatever, and create aliases on it for the other email addresses you need "/dev/null"'ed, and then in the account in the Zimbra admin console, go to advanced and change "E-mail message lifetime" to 1 day or something.. they wont go straight to /dev/null, but they will be deleted rather promptly, out of everyones way, and no postfix hacks are involved.

I have an email address I want to devnull. Prior to zimbra, I used an entry in /etc/aliases along the lines of "foo: /dev/null" but it appears that zimbra ignores this. I get a lot of email on this address and don't even want the system processing it and wish for it to be dropped right at the threshhold. The address btw, does not exist in zimbra either.

I have run newaliases, and run postalias hash:/etc/aliases.

Any one have an idea for me?

That's very close to the answer that Klug posted earlier, it's in the wiki.

I'm stuck inside my home due to large amounts of people and cars in our neighborhood (some neighborhood garage sale) so I *needed* to post something somewhere due to massive boredom

Is there a way to /dev/null an address without having to use a user license?

No, there isn't. It is only one mailbox address that you'll use.
