Default Zimba Samba ext - resource create error

Hi, I'm using Zimbra Samba extensions on my Zimbra 4.5.4 GA on CentOS 4.4

This works very well, but the problem is when you want to add an Resource account.
Appears an error related with posixaccount that require an uidNumer.

I missed this part, a resource account is also an email account (don't ask me why, ask Schemers). So, what needs to be done to fix this on 4.5.x is adding posix/samba fields to resource view and wizard.

Thanks you Greg, for the moment I created resource account with zmprov commands and some attributes required.

For example, minimal attrs required are:

zmprov ccr notebookcompaq1@domain.cl xxxxx uidNumber 5001 gidNumber 5001 homeDirectory /home/notebookcompaq1 sambaSID S-1-5-21-3264581642-19622330-3430555677-2020 displayName "Notebook Compaq 1" zimbraCalResType Equipment

I just fixed this and briefly tested in VMWare. You may get the new files form the Zimbra Gallery Extras

Greg, i did donwload posix and samba updates from Gallery, and it appears posix and samba account info when you add an resource.

But now, appear an error message: (Note: the resource account is created anyway)

    Hi,

I'm not seeing the link to download the resource from the gallery -http://gallery.zimbra.com/gallery.php?act=viewProd&productId=72-
Do you know if it has been disabled?

    Thanks,

This thread is talking about samba & posix extensions - the link you've given (#72) is now to the Resource Zimlet which allows users to create and delete their own resource/location calendars.
If that's what your needing please revisit the link: Get or contribute Zimlets, UI themes, and languages in the Zimbra Gallery - Resource Administrator far right > details > download.

If that's not what your asking for:
    V5 now has a /opt/zimbra/zimlets-admin-extra folder which contains zimbra_posixaccount.zip & zimbra_samba.zip
And #71 in the gallery now contains the Samba password extension: Get or contribute Zimlets, UI themes, and languages in the Zimbra Gallery - zimbraSambaPassword Extension

EDIT: other bug Bug 26423 - posix extension requires memberUid to contain a uidNumber

    As Greg said:

I though the new files were "Resource Administrator"'s zimlet & fixed the error asked in this thread.

Anyway, I saw that the link has been enabled.

    thanks
