Question Scan external POP3 messages

I noticed that the Zimbra server doesn't check the e-mail for spam when the pop3 connector is used, but only checks e-mail for spam when the e-mail comes directly to the Zimbra server.

i believe that this is because when e-mail comes directly it is routed through amavisd which parses it through the spamassassin and clamav, but when POP3 is used and the e-mail is brought from another server it is not scanned because it doesn't go through amavisd.

Is there a way to make it run spamassassin against this mail as well?
