Default [SOLVED] /var/spool/postfix/maildrop

Hi,

Just checking around my Zimbra system to make sure that everything is working OK, and I found this:-

/var/spool/postfix/maildrop contains quite a lot of files. These go back to when the system was first commissioned.

The /opt/zimbra/postfix/maildrop is empty, and I'm guessing this is where those files should have been put.

Should the /var/spool/postfix/maildrop be a link to the zimbra one?

Hello,

Those are system-level e-mails that have been sent to root (and a host of other system-lever users).

You just need to edit the file "/etc/aliases" and add your e-mail address for the root user :

root: your-email-address@domain.com

Save the file, then run "newaliases"

Before you do any of that though, I'd cat a few files in there to see what they are, then delete them all.

Thanks for the reply. As its been quite a while since I posted that thread, I had to go back and check my system. But its all working fine. I must have solved that, or one of the many upgrades might have done that for me.

Thanks again.
