Viewing user mailboxes ....

Hi,

one of the main requirements are asking to me in my company, for installing Zimbra, is that administrator users could to tee the mailboxes of the other users.

I tried do it, login as administrator in the administrator console, and then clicking in the ViewMail option. In that moment, I received a messenger showing:

JavaScript error encountered in Method ZaAccountListController.prototype._viewMailListene r,

and the description is:

permission denied to get property UnnamedClass.filename

Is possible doing that?

Did you do anything to fix this? Or did it just fix itself. I'm getting the same error now. Default open source install on CentOS 5 using the install guide.

Using which install guide? Some more details might help, like which version/release of Zimbra you've got installed.

Sorry, here we go; Centos 5 Install Guide

Just downloaded this morning. This is the package name; zcs-4.5.6_GA_1044.RHEL4.tgz The install went perfectly with no errors at all.

It's all working really nicely except for that error. I'm not too bothered as I don't think I'll be using that option and I only came across the error when looking around and getting familiar with the admin console.

There's no reason why that function shouldn't work. I guess you've installed all the required packages mentioned in the install thread? Have you also disabled SELinux and the firewall on your server? Where are you trying to access your server from, is it on the same machine, same LAN and which browser is this with?

All required packages mentioned are installed.

No IPtables firewall has been setup yet on your system.

The server is in a datacenter and I'm using firefox 2.0.0.5

On this note, I've just tried it in IE7 and it works fine! So it looks like it may be a firefox issue.

The only addons I have installed for firefox are;
British English Dictionary 1.19
Firefox Companion for eBay 1.0
Google Browser Sync 1.3.20070523.0

Talkback 2.0.0.5 is disabled.

The usual one that seems to cause problems is mouse-gestures. I'd suggest you disable or remove the add-ons and see which is causing the problem. Do you also have a recent Java installed on the server?

yeah, everything on the server is the latest available as per yum update.

As it appears to be a firefox issue I'm satisfied its not the server that's at fault so I'll leave it there. I can use IE if I need to use that feature and will have a go at disabling all the extensions later.
