Default multi domain / multi IP / SMTP HELO problem

Hi guys

I have a problem with the smtp greeting (ZCS 4.5.4).
This is the situation:
Server has multiple IP addresses:
XXX.XXX.47.25 (eth0) mail.domain1.com (reverse lookup is fine)
XXX.XXX.129.58 (eth0:1) mail.domain2.com (reverse lookup is fine)
XXX.XXX.129.59 (eth0:2) mail.domain3.com (reverse lookup is fine)
MX entrys in DNS are fine
/etc/hosts -> fine
telnet mail.domain2.com 25
HELO
220 mail.domain1.com ESMTP Postfix

telnet mail.domain3.com 25
HELO
220 mail.domain1.com ESMTP Postfix

How can I tell Zimbra to use the correct domain?

Cheers
Andre

I'm not really sure what you are asking here. If it's 'can I use a different smtp greeting for each IP address' then the answer is no. Check out bugzilla and see if there's an entry for this feature, if not then file an RFE for it. If that's not the questions then please elaborate.

Yes, this is what I am asking for.
If someone connects to mail.domainXYZ.com using smtp he should get a greeting "mail.domainXYZ.com". This should apply to every hosted domain.

Any ideas for a "dirty style" work around?

cheers
Andre

I don't know of any workaround offhand, I think you'd need to file it in bugzilla as an RFE. I don't remember seeing any request like this, just the usual 'bind to one IP'.
