I have a feeling that we've covered this before. You server does not have a FQDN, you're using the domain name as the server name, that's incorrect and that's what's wrong. Have a look at the report here and this comment from DNSreports:
tickus.com claims to be host mail.tickus.com [but that host doesn't seem to exist (may be cached); could be a CNAME I don't check].
it actually tells you what the problem is.
    Regards

I don't know what the FQDN of your server is, you can check it with this command
    Code:
     host `hostname`
they are backticks not single quotes around hostname.

    user@mail:~$ host `hostname`
    mail.tickus.com has address 192.168.0.104
    mail.tickus.com mail is handled by 10 mail.tickus.com.

How can it not find it if you point the records at your IP?

So I create an A record of mail.tickus.com and point it to my servers ip. That still doesnt solve the problem, or where do I have to put that at.

This is getting silly. Where do you host your external DNS records? How do you make changes to them? Go to the set-up for your external records and make the changes there.

my dns records are at godaddy.com

Why I dont get I have to edit my external dns is because I have successfully run a mail server with the exact same setup without zimbra and my mail wasnt seen as spam because tickus.com was in the HELO. Why I cant just change the smtp greeting in zimbra is what is blowing me away.... JHolder says its possible but I dont see that setting. That would solve everything.

my server Hello line is this 220 mail.tickus.com ESMTP Postfix I want it to be tickus.com
