Default Strange tomcat problem

I have been migrating from FC3 to OS X. I am on version 3.1. This is a long story ... but I've come a long way but now have a very strange permissions problem in the catalina.out log. Tomcat is not starting because of a 'Permission denied' error on:

/opt/zimbra/log/zimbra.log
/opt/zimbra/lob/wbxml.log

The log4j error message in catalina.out says:

ERROR Either File or DatePattern options are not set for appender [WBXML].

and

ERROR Either File or DatePattern options are not set for appender [LOGFILE].

and

ERROR setFile(null, true) call failed.

Hmmm.
Try to rename them (name).log.1

So that the logs get regenerated.

Hi,

I finally discovered what was at the root of this problem and many of my other zimbra problems.

The uid and gid for zimbra were different between the old server and the new server.
