    Default Wildcard SSL Certificates?

I have two mailstore machines, with a number of different DNS names pointing at them all either blah.domain.com or blah.blah2.domain.com. I'd like to purchase a wildcard certificate for *.domain.com and install it on both mailstores.. Does anyone see any issues with this idea?

    Hello James,

    blah.domain.com or blah.blah2.domain.com

In this case no wildcard can help you. Because wildcard ssl works only on same level sub domain name. If you purchase wildcard ssl for *.sslmatrix.com then this * stands for same level domain name and you can secure sub domains lime sub1.sslmatrix.com sub2.sslmatrix.com, sub100.sslmatrix.com. But it does not work for subA.sub1.sslmatrix.com subA.sub2.sslmatrix.com. Because this requirement seems like subA.*.sslmatrix.com.

There is no wildcard ssl can support * in mid-level. You can put the * on first place only.

You can buy wildcard ssl for like : *.sslmatrix.com OR *.sub1.sslmatrix.com.
