Default Migration from Exchange 2003

Hi,

I want to migrate a few users from Exchange 2003 to Zimbra. I just testet it with one user and it always cancels with one error.

I use the newest Migration Wizzard.

Here are the last lines of the log:

Code:

What could that be?

Edit: After this error, I have to restart all zimbra services because otherwise I can't access the server (admin panel and frontend GUI) anymore.

Edit2: A zmcontrol status says, that "mailbox" is stopped.

The HTTP library we use has returned ERROR_WINHTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE. In our testing we have found this to happen when the migration wizard thinks it should use HTTP when the port specified is in fact HTTPS.

Heres what you can do:

Downlaoad the WinHttpTraceCfg.exe trace configuration tool (part of windows server 2003 resource kit).

Read the documentation for the tool.

On the machine running the migration wizard, turn on tracing to a file by executing the following:

Code:
WinHttpTraceCfg -e 1 -l <prefix> -d 0
(replace prefix with something appropriate)

Restart the migration wizard process and try to import again. This time, a log file will be generated with all the traffic. Remove any sensitive information from the log and post it.

I don't think the logged data helps you because of the encryption, but I post it anyway:

I need the entire log, not just the last request. The trace tool is truncating the log. You can increase the max size by specifying -m 1000000000.

Also, please post the log as an attachment.

Ok,

here is a better one. It was to big to attach so i put it here

The strange thing is: I migrated exactly the same data with Open Source Edition and there all went fine.

Thanks, I got the log. All looks well, but Im suspicious of the 16MB message.

Do you see any errors in the zimbra.log around the same time the large message was sent (06:35:06.625) (the one with the photo attachments) ? Is it a single 16MB message?

How can I find out whic message is making the problem, then I could delete it...

I did a complete re-install of the OS and Zimbra, still the same problem.

What I found out, always if I ran the Migration Wizzard and it ended with this error this problem comes up.

Please help me, I see now other way to migrate this account from Exchange to Zimbra.

if you look at the winhttp trace log you can extract enough information to identify the message, like the date, subject, from, to, etc.

In the log you posted, the subject is 'fotos'.

you could also try removing any messages in exchange larger than 5mb.
