Default Programmatically Add Preshared Calendar to a Users's Account

Let's assume I have a user, John, who has already shared his calendar to a group of his-coworkers. The company then hires new employee Jane. Jane would like to see John's calendar in her Zimbra web UI. Does John have to "re-share" his calendar just to Jane, or can Jane (or an admin from the CLI) somehow hook into John's calendar from Jane's account so she can see it?

It's my understanding that even if a user doesn't accept a share, as long as it has been shared in the past that share is still available.

Default Yes!

From Jane's client, go to the Calendar app and right-click on the "Calendars" header in the overview pane at left (the one that lists the calendars with checkboxes). The second item on the popup action menu is Link to Shared Calendar.

You can also use the CLI zmmailbox createMountpoint.

Thank you for the response. If I'm going through the Web UI and selecting "Link to Shared Calendar" what would be appropriate to put in the "Path" text box in the window that appears? Obviously "Email" is self explanatory, that being the email address of the person whose shared calendar you'd like to view.

Default Exactly what you'd guess...

If they shared their Calendar folder, enter "Calendar" (or /Calendar if that doesn't work, though it should).

If they shared their foo folder, enter "foo" (or /foo if that doesn't work, though it should).

If they shared a subfolder "baz" of folder "bar", enter "bar/foo".

Etc.
