Default Calendar / Appointment issues

Sorry if an answer to this question exists elsewhere, but I've been unable to find it. I have a series of reoccurring appointments scheduled in my calendar that I'd like to delete, yet any time I try to delete the series or the instance, I recieve this error:

msg - system failure: missing blob for id: 29578, change: 39159
com.zimbra.cs.service.ServiceException: system failure: missing blob for id: 29578, change: 39159

at com.zimbra.cs.mailbox.MessageCache.getItemContent( MessageCache.java:117)
at
<snip more stack trace>

code - service.FAILURE
method - ZmCsfeCommand.prototype.invoke
detail - soap:Receiver

Is there a way through the administrative console (or at all) that I can get rid of these things?

Holy Blob, Batman!

What version are you running? Any server crashes, bad bootups?
Stop zimbra, and run the zmfixperms script located in the libexec dir. Let's see if that fixes the issue.

Well I ran zmfixperms and it didn't seem have any effect. I downloaded a copy of sunbird in the hopes I could remove the appointments there and publish it back to zimbra, that doesn't seem to have any effect either. So I guess my question still stands, what can I do to get rid of these seemingly orphaned appointments? At this point I'm fine with just wiping my calendar clean if thats what it takes.

Thanks

Well I seem to have solved the problem, although there is no telling what I might've broken in the process . I went into the mysql database under my mailbox and in the appointment table, I just removed the row with the broken appointment. Any one know if this is actually going to have some side effects or not? Everything seems ok for what it's worth .
