Zimbra on dual processor
Hi,
We have installed zimbra 4.5 (VMWare version) on a vmware running centos. Our host os is windows 2003 and it is a dual processor system. Currently zimbra is using single processor. We want Zimbra to use dual processor to optimize its speed. What tweaking we need to make to in the VMware file so that we can make that change ?

vmware settings
This should just be in the config for the guest. For example from the VMware server console, under hardware you can adjust how many virtual processors the guest has. If you have 2 physical procs and set the guest at 2 procs, then it should use both physical procs.

Hi,
Thanks for prompt reply, Additionally I would like to know if there is any build for zimbra 4.5 which is optimized for dual processor?

Zimbra is several processes, not one, so it will automatically take advantage of multiple processors across the various different running processes. (If you're just running one thing, say slapd, then that may not hit the second processor, but that's not a common deployment.)
