    Default ZCS 8.0.7 & Mailman 2.1.12 on a CentOS 6.5 VM

    Hi,

I would like to start using mailman and at the moment, in my lab enviroment I tried to run the python integration script posted here:

ZCS Mailman Integration - Zimbra :: Wiki

When applying the patch, I get this ouput:

    [root@maillist mailman]# patch -p0 < zimbra_mailman_integration.patch
    (Patch is indented 1 space.)
    patching file Mailman/Cgi/create.py
    Hunk #1 FAILED at 31.
Hunk #2 succeeded at 218 (offset 1 line).
1 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file Mailman/Cgi/create.py.rej
    (Patch is indented 1 space.)
    patching file Mailman/Cgi/rmlist.py
    (Patch is indented 1 space.)
    patching file Mailman/MailList.py
Hunk #2 succeeded at 497 (offset 10 lines).
    (Patch is indented 1 space.)
    patching file Mailman/mm_cfg.py
    Hunk #1 FAILED at 80.
Hunk #2 succeeded at 98 (offset 4 lines).
1 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file Mailman/mm_cfg.py.rej

Did anyone else tried this and succeed with the versions I'm using? Something similar happened to a user in this other thread but I saw no solution given anywhere

I guess this error could be a normal thing as I'm using it with versions that do not match the versions for which this script was written...anyways, maybe some of you know how to solve this or adapt the python script. Any help is more than welcome!

    Thanks,
    Sebas

    Hi Raun!

I don't see anything that could help me in there...

I stop trying to make that .py script work...and I'm now just trying a simple integration. It's quite hard to see any documantion that explains how to integrate Zimbra/Mailman. Most of it is confusing and/or outdated. Even mailman has no documentation

I'm trying to have Mailman in a separate server...I almost got it but I'll have to relax my postfix restrictions in order for mailman to be relayed.

    What I'm doing is:

1 Store + 1 MTA + 1 mailman // The MTA is on a DMZ and the Store and mailman are in the LAN.

When an e-mail arrives, it arrives to the MTA which verifies if the user exists...al my "mailman lists" are actualy "resources" in Zimbra with a transport to mailman. So, the e-mail goes via SMTP from the MTA to Mailman who match the alias and send the e-mail back to the MTA via SMTP. The MTA now can read every single e-mail address to deliver them via LMTP to the store.

I'll keep on trying this during next week probably! If I get it working, next step is going to try to integrate it with Zimbra ldap for the alias search (which I think maybe sharing via NFS the alias db file in my zimbra server and mapping it to the mailman postfix alias pointer...).

Thanks again for your help Raun! Please, if you already done one of these things and have some additional info to provide, it's going to be more than welcome.

    Thanks,
    Sebas
