Default Can I just stop Anti-Spam?

Is there a way to stop anti-spam but not affect anti-virus. We have a separate spam firewall that is doing a good job, I just want to be sure everything internal is scanned for viruses. Also, I'm curious if just doing AV and not A/S will help speed up mail transfers...because currently with everything running, the MTA's are dreadfully slow....I've averaged 160 - 170 msg's/minute with services on and ~700 msg's/minute with them off. I'm running OS X on dual G5's with 2 GB memory.

Do you have any IMAP users?

Also, just go into the adminui and turn it off. . .but that won't speed up transfers that much.

Yeah, I have quite a few IMAP users.

Shutting it off anti spam only in the Admin UI generally just hangs the mta and everything gets deferred.

Please take a look at this bug, and let me know if you think it applies to you.

I don't think it is. For one, we are on 4.0.5. We'll be going to 4.5.x this coming weekend...is this bug gonna be a gotcha?

Also, our MTA's are separated from the mailstores..we have 2 LDAP, 3 MTA, and 6 mailstores.
