    Default Send mail returns an error

    Dear All,
    We have Zimbra installed in production and off late we have been receiving error message when we send emails, this happens randomly and there is no consistency. The error message is as below

    Would like to know what settings to check in Zimbra and how to resolve this problem.

    Such occurances are random and upon clicking the send button again the email will be delivered but it's really frustrating to all our users facing such a problem.

    Exclamation Found error on the mailbox.log file

    Caused by: com.zimbra.cs.mailbox.MailSender$SafeMessagingExce ption: connect timed out;

    What could be causing this error? I also notice that the local mail are sent via external MTA! We are not sure why is it doing this way?

    i have same (i think) problem, after update to 8.0.7

    some users have a this error on reply or forwarding mail from mailbox (web interface).
    after some days i am understanding this problem - problem with mysql base.


    find userId of this user@mycorp.com
    zmprov getMailboxInfo user@mycorp.com
    answer:
    mailboxId: 127
    quotaUsed: 253640589





    sudo su zimbra
    source ~/bin/zmshutil ; zmsetvars
    mysql
    mysql>show databases;
    answer: mysql databeses ... for example mboxgroup<userId>


    select DB:

    mysql>use mboxgroup127;
    and check tables:
    mysql> show tables;
    check - open_conversation
    mysql> select * from open_conversation;
    and there i have error....


    i try:
    mysql> check table open_conversation;
    answer: has error in table

    to repair - i try:
    mysql> optimize table open_conversation;
    and - user work ok.



    in some reason mysql da after update was crashed.. and if user want reply or forward Zimbra cant`t insert into crashed "open_conversation"
