Unhappy Zimbra won't start because of LDAP error due to changes in DNS Records (maybe).

    Hi folks!
We have a problem with the Zimbra Service either when we try to start it manually or when it auto-loads itself at the boot time due (apparently) to an LDAP problem!
Previously, we had changed DNS Records such as MX and others in order to change the server to a new one, so, when we got back to the old server, the described problem had appeared.

Now, the question is, How can I do to start the Zimbra service without it to check the DNS or whatever, just to perform a backup and move data to the new server??
Can I keep MDA without MTA? And take the emails back via IMAP for example?

I paste here some outputs I get...

    Code:
    zimbra@mail:~$ zmcontrol status
Unable to determine enabled services from ldap.
Unable to determine enabled services. Cache is out of date or doesn't exist.
    Code:
    zimbra@mail:~$ zmcontrol start
    Host mail.aprepa.org.ar
    	Starting ldap...Done.
    Failed.
Failed to start slapd. Attempting debug start to determine error.

    And the content of /opt/zimbra/data/ldap/config/cn=config.ldif
    Code:
    zimbra@mail:~$ cat /opt/zimbra/data/ldap/config/cn=config.ldif

    Default

Zimbra is very sensitive to DNS as you have seen.

Your old Zimbra server will need DNS to be the way it was previously to start. You can use /etc/resolv.conf to point it to a DNS server configured the way things were, or just install BIND9 on the Zimbra server and configure that DNS server to be the way things were.

    Hope that helps,
    Mark
