    Default 'Not spam' items keep going to Junk folder anyhow

    Here is something bizarre.

    For example, I have emails which come in from various forums and they end up in the Junk folder. Every single time they arrive, they go to the Junk folder and each and every time, I click them as 'not spam'. Yet, each and every time, they continue going to the Junk folder? What's that mean?

    Second, one of those emails... and this is really lame... is the servers actual Admin report. It continuously goes into the Junk folder, no matter how many times I click on 'not spam'.

    Anyone have any insight, it sure would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Try to figure out the root problem by checking those message header and see which one cause the email marked as spam.
    Best Regards

    Ok, I'll post some headers the next time it happens.

    Here is a header from one I have flagged as Not Spam at least 30 times now.

    X-Virus-Scanned: amavisd-new at mydomain.com
    X-Spam-Flag: YES
    X-Spam-Score: 3.881
    X-Spam-Level: ***
    X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=3.881 tagged_above=-10 required=0.4
    tests=[BAYES_00=-1.9, CK_HELO_DYNAMIC_SPLIT_IP=1.499,
    HELO_DYNAMIC_IPADDR2=3.607, RP_MATCHES_RCVD=-0.001,
    SPF_SOFTFAIL=0.665, TVD_RCVD_IP=0.001,
    T_HEADER_FROM_DIFFERENT_DOMAINS=0.01] autolearn=no

    It is a forum reply notification.

    Hi,

    Beside what Phoenix said on previous reply, I think 0.4 minimum spam score seems quite aggressive :

    Code:
    X-Spam-Status: Yes, score=3.881 tagged_above=-10 required=0.4
    I myself using the default 33% of spam score and with Untangle as front-end anti spam, only a few spam delivered to my inbox :

    Code:
    X-Spam-Status: No, score=-0.024 tagged_above=-10 required=6.6
    a not finished yet tutorial : How to Build Anti Spam Appliance Using Untangle-Part 2
    Best Regards

    So, looking this up,

    ///
    SpamAssassin Rule: HELO_DYNAMIC_IPADDR2
    Standard description: Relay HELO'd using suspicious hostname (IP addr 2)
    Explanation
    The sender was identified by an upstream relay as using a numeric HELO address. It is probably not a regular email client using an authorized relay.
    Further Info
    The default scores for this rule can be found in the online list of tests.

    Not really sure where the problem is or what to change since there doesn't seem to be enough information out there on this. Can you shed a little light for me please.

    Thanks.

    I had to change those numbers and keep changing them until I got a better result. So far, this is my best result and ALL spam is hitting the Junk folder, not one seems to have made it into the inbox since this change. However, the Junk box is filled to the brim daily.

    Could someone please share more insight on this. Searching the net and the forums isn't finding me any answers.

    Can you not expand on 'that' because as I have said in talking to myself in the rest of the thread, I have looked at that
