Default QNAP NAS to authorize users from Zimbra8 LDAP

    Hi,

We have some QNAP NAS's (TS-669 and TS-879) and we need them to authorize users from our Zimbra8 through LDAP.

We can easily browse the entire Zimbra LDAP with a simple LDAP browser but can not even get the user list when we make the necessary configuration changes on NAS's.

We have received support from QNAP staff and community, but could not reach result. Conversations ended up with people mentioning about the ZimbraDirectoryScheme and its in-ability to integrate with a samba server.

When we try to bind QNAP to the remote LDAP, we receive the following errors in /var/log/zimbra.log

    "Nov 9 19:39:26 myservername slapd[1347]: conn=539257 op=4 do_add: invalid dn (sambaDomainName=WORKGROUP,ou=people,dc=mydomain,d c=edu,dc=mycountry)"

Is there any simple solution which does not involve modifying the Zimbra LDAP manually ? And AdminExtension or Zimlet ?

    Regards.
