Default Address with one character subdomain

Hey there,

I just tryed to add an e-mail address to a distribution list which contains in the domain part a subdomain with a lengh of one character.

i.e. me@x.there.com

An address with a two character subdomain works fine.

Can this behaviour be configured or is this a bug in a regex?

regards, bernd

It's quite likely to be a restriction (RFC?) on the format of a domain name.

No, I was wrong. It's not a restriction, it's probably this bug here, vote on it to give it some weight. Did you actually try creating the domain with zmprov? Try this as the zimbra user:
Code:
zmprov cd x.mydomain.com

The problem domain is not hosted on my zimbra. Just a Member of a distribution list has this curious email address.

I guess that you're trying to add it to a distribution list on your server? If you are try the zmprov command to add members to a list (zmprov help commands will get you the syntax or look in the wiki). This is the format:

Code:
zmprov addDistributionListMember(adlm) {list@domain|id} {member@domain}+

Glad it's working. If you would like to see that in the admin ui then vote on the bug entry I gave you earlier.

First time I've given a bug to solve a problem.
