    Default Internet Explorer 10 support

I had working IE 10 support in 7.2.2, then it went away in 7.2.3. Enter the following post, which did not get much response: ZCS 7.2.3 and Internet Explorer 10

Went to 7.2.4 and now 7.2.5. Still no working IE 10 support.

I can't move to 8.x because I need zimbraposix and zimbrasamba more than I need IE 10 support...but I'm not saying that I don't need IE 10 support! It's just the lesser of two weevils. Telling users to use a different browser for webmail is lame. What's the fix?

    Hi Raunaq,

The users never get past the "loading" screen after logging in on IE 10 using the "Advanced (AJAX)" interface. However, they can successfully log in with the "Standard (HTML)" interface on IE 10. I have also had a report of this issue on Safari, but other browsers seem unaffected (AJAX works in Firefox, Chrome, et al). I've read some conjecture about this being an issue with the AJAX itself, but it seems pretty unresolved: Bug 75630 ? IE 10 support https://community.homestead.com/home...hen_logging_in https://www.google.com/search?q=zimbra+ie+10+support

I've got another Zimbra server running 8.0.5 and IE 10 works like a champ with the AJAX inteface, so it seems to be something in 7.x. Any fix (even if it takes manually editing files) would be greatly appreciated!

I believe the latest IE10 related bug for 7.x is Bug 82601 and it is currently in the "NEEDINFO" state. The workaround that engineering is asking people to try is in comment #60: https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=82601#c60

You might want to try that workaround to see if that gets things working for you and if not leave comments in that bug along with as much useful detail about your specific environment to help us track this down.

Thanks, that is what I am experiencing and that does help, but I've got another problem: Users that barely know what a browser is, let alone how to follow instructions to change settings. These users also access from their personal machines that I can't configure for them. Is there anything that can be done server-side?

This is now [SOLVED] thanks to lots of help from ppearl. The fix was to enable proxy on http & https. As the zimbra user:

    ~/libexec/zmproxyconfig -e -w -H `zmhostname` -x redirect
    zmcontrol restart

If your users still have trouble with IE 10, have them refresh or dump their cache.
