Default 4.5 - Backup through admin UI

Hello all.

I've tried the backup from the admin UI by creating a full backup just after an upgrade from 4.0.5 and the ldap backup directory was not created : backup is done (fast) and the full backup appears correctly in the interface but no ldap directory in /opt/zimbra/backup.

I did another full backup (command line) and this time the ldap directory was created.
But instead of seeying the two different full backups in the AdminUI, I can now only see the last one (command line).

I had a look on another server (upgraded two days ago).
On this one, in the AdminUI, I can see the first full backup and the first incremental backup (that seems correct).
If I look in /opt/zimbra/backup, there's a ldap directory but there's only the "incr-..." directory in it, no "full-...".

Is that normal/standard behaviour or is it a bug?

LDAP is backed up by zmbackup shell script. Take a look at it. It calls slapcat to backup ldap data as well as invoking Java command to issue backup request. The Java command ends up sending a SOAP request to tomcat which then does the backup work. When you use the Admin UI, it only does the SOAP request part but no slapcat. That's why there's no ldap backup. So, things are working as expected, but it's a bug that backups done with Admin UI don't include ldap.

I'm not sure why you see only one full backup after doing one from UI and one from command line. Is it a cache/refresh issue? Are you looking at a wrong screen perhaps? How many full backup directories are there?

Is the bug already open in the bugzilla (to vote for it) ?

Nope, I did hit the refresh button several times.

Nope either, I only have one server in my Admin UI

Only one.

Now that I have incremental backups (two), I can not reproduce it (just made a full backup with "/opt/zimbra/bin/zmbackup -f -a all" and it does appear in the Admin UI with the previous full and incremetals).

I'll try that again on a new server next week.
