Default "There is no valid license installed"

When I first login to Admin console, the Home page shows activation and backup error messages:
    • Yellow bar at the top that says "There is no valid license installed." and a link to "Manage Licenses..."
    • Under Maintenance, "Last Backup:" says "Loading..." no matter how long I wait.

Clicking "Home" on the left navigation panel links reloads the panel, and the activation message disappears and the value for Last Backup loads properly:

If I Ctrl+R or F5 to refresh the page (or logout/login again), the errors come back.

Recently upgraded from 7.2.0 to 7.2.4 to 8.0.4 Network Edition, all on the same Ubuntu 10.04 x64 LTS host.
Current version: Release 8.0.4.GA.5737.UBUNTU10.64 UBUNTU10_64 NETWORK edition

I already troubleshooted by reuploading the ZCSLicense.xml file and successfully activated again, and rebooted the entire host OS, but the errors persist.
    Activation info looks fine:

    Any ideas?

And you followed the release notes?

The commands that are required when moving from 7.x to 8.x series?

I'll be doing the 7.2.4 to 8.0.4 upgrade this weekend.

I recently upgraded from 8.0.2 NE to 8.0.4 NE on a Zimbra Appliance and see the exact same thing as far as the licenses warning so it doesn't have to do with your version it seems. For the backup error, is your backup location local to the server or are you connected to a network drive.....are the permissions correct? Maybe you should run the process below to fix the permissions just in case? ([SOLVED] run zmfixperms as root but still getting Permission Denied)

    su - zimbra
    zmcontrol stop
    logout
    /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmfixperms --verbose --extended
    su - zimbra
    zmcontrol start

    Edit:
In addition the Active Sessions on the home screen always shows "Loading...".
This problem is due to a bug which is scheduled to be fixed: https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=77832

Backup location is a directly connected USB2.0 external HDD mounted at boot with fstab. The backups work fine and display properly when I navigate to
Home - Tools and Migration - Backups
and when I click back to the Home screen, it properly lists the most recent backup along with a green checkmark. I'll try the permissions fix later tonight.
