release 4.5 RC2

Just installed the latest release ... fantastic ! Big change .

Couple of things :

1. Never was able to successfully hack into the code ... some of my clients want the ability to open different browser windows for each App ( Inbox , Calendar etc. ) . I don't know why they want this but is there any chance this might be
implemented in the next major release ?

2. I noticed that when I am creating a new Group list and I search for contacts to add to the list , the searching doesn't go so smoothly i.e. if I search for Pat nothing shows up but if I search for Patterson it shows up ... doesn't do this all the time so not sure what is going on . It's a small bug I guess .

4.5 GA is out now. You could try installing/upgrading that. The bug might not be on the GA.

opening each app on a separate window is a great idea. I would use it Might need to creat a bug report for that feature request. I'll vote for it

Hi , I never filed a request before ... i just created an account in Bugzilla and I can figure out where to put my request .

Choose calendar in the component option. CHoose 4.5 Frank in version.

severity should be enhancement i think.

after that summery and description.
Then once submitting click on the id and click on "Vote for this bug".
tick the box and update.

I think thats all.

In firefox you can open calendar and email etc in different tabs. Just open the zimbra address in multiple tabs and it allows you to browse separately, so you could have your email in one tab calendar in another and contacts in another.
Or am i miss understanding what you mean?

So what your saying is that you can run the web client on two different tabs?

If thats true then i believe you can use ?app=calendar to choose the calendar.

EDIT: the ?app works. Here's the urls i used:
http://SERVER/zimbra/mail?app=calendar

However this probably causes twice as many hits as normal. and also it will stress your browser too.

Once again. I hadn't thought about full tab views. That would be very handy.

Well right now i'm install 4.5 GA. I've been waiting for multiple identities. I had to have that feature before moving to zimbra.

I've been using squirelmail for years now. I usually middle click unread emails one by one opening them in new tabs in the background.
If i could do that with zimbra that would be amazing
I guess zimbra is heavier then squirrelmail. I'll just have to get used to a new way of reading my mail
