Send Message as Distribution List

Quick question, could you have a distro group called "sales@xyz.com" and when replying to a message have an identity for the distribution list? or a way to set the from: address to the distro instead of the user?

no, I understand that you can select another mail account as an identity or use the reply-to.. but if an account was part of a distribution group could you reply as the GROUP.

I found my answer, I enabled the preference "Allow sending email from any address" then was able to set the from address of an identity to the distribution list.
