    Default Zimbra-Postfix and PCRE

I'm in the process of evaluating using Zimbra instead of managing the individual components in my mail environment. Currently, I have some specific delivery rules based on the PCRE (perl compliant RegEx) support in postfix. While I could resolve some of my dependency on PCRE by qualifying aliases for users, there are some delivery rules that only PCRE can support.

Has anyone experimented with adding PCRE maps to zimbra's postfix mta? It seems to me that this should be straight forward, if PCRE support was built into Zimbra's postfix. Any thoughts about the correct way to do this, such that this change would survive an upgrade?

    Thanks
    Mike

Default Would this be such a bad idea?

So, I couldn't find much in the forums or the wiki that was going to help me with this, so (on a flight back home this morning) I read the scripts that start up zimbra and provision the main.cf file.

I think the right way to implement this would be to use zmlocalconfig to change the postfix_virtual_alias_maps local variable, like this:

    zmlocalconfig -e "postfix_virtual_alias_maps = ldap:/opt/zimbra/conf/ldap-vam.cf pcre:/opt/zimbra/conf/vam.pcre"

Does that sound right? Might this break something?

    Thanks
    Mike
