Question email archive across IMAP (copy+delete) but zimbra directory not reduced

I use Zimbra since 2010 and I backup it with the full snapshot and zip method.
The Zimbra directory constantly growing and I would like to reduce it with archive all before 2011-12-31 email to another IMAP server. I copy all those email and delete it with IMAP commands from Zimbra, it's about 30G mail, but the Zimbra directory size not reduced .
In Zimbra web client those emails disappeard, (in Trash and in Recover deleted items too)

    What should I do ?

    Tx for any help.

    My Zimbra - 7.1.3_GA_3346.DEBIAN5_64 DEBIAN5_64 - /opt/zimbra is on ext3

After 1 month the Zimbra dir decreased about 20G space, so it coused by the Dumpster.

( I don't understand becouse on the "Recover deleted email" tab aren't those emails.... )

Yes that issue could be due to dumpster because zimbraMailDumpsterLifetime attribute default value is 30d. One way to get rid of the problem, search items in "recover deleted items" and delete those items. Other way is to change the values of zimbraMailDumpsterLifetime & zimbraDumpsterUserVisibleAge.

    zimbra@zcs147:~$ zmprov desc -a zimbraMailDumpsterLifetime
    zimbraMailDumpsterLifetime
Retention period of messages in the dumpster. 0 means that all
messages will be retained. . Must be in valid duration format:
    {digits}{time-unit}. digits: 0-9, time-unit: [hmsd]|ms. h - hours, m -
minutes, s - seconds, d - days, ms - milliseconds. If time unit is not
    specified, the default is s(seconds).

    zimbra@zcs147:~$ zmprov desc -a zimbraDumpsterUserVisibleAge
    zimbraDumpsterUserVisibleAge
limits how much of a dumpster data is viewable by the end user, based
on the age since being put in dumpster. Must be in valid duration

I logged in the zimbra webmail earlier and I check the "revocer deleted items" option, there were none email.

    But the problem solved.

What was the value of zimbraDumpsterUserVisibleAge on COS/Account? This could be the reason.

    zmprov desc -a zimbraDumpsterUserVisibleAge
    no attribute info for zimbraDumpsterUserVisibleAge

    zimbra@mail:/tmp$ zmcontrol -vv

I Think this parameter doesn't exist in this Zimbra version.
