Resource Calendars

We are looking at a new email/calendaring platform. Currently we use FirstClass as our email and MeetingMaker as our calendar. Does Zimba support resource calendars (rooms,vehicles).

Thank you Phoenix I am going to download the trial version and approach the powers to be with this? I have been pretty impressed with what I have seen so far.

You may like to know that there's a new release coming soon (4.5), it should be available during the third week of this month - it has lots of nifty new features. When you've got your system working all you need for upgrade is to (make the inevitable backup) just run the install script again and it'llupdate your current install.

Hi -
I am not able to see calendar for the resource. Before we book a meeting we need to see -
1. Conference room calendar ( so that we know what times are available for that room)
2. Ability to see who has booked the meeting (so that if required we can contact that person).
3. Ability to view calendar for all conference rooms ( in a easy fashion)

If we define the rooms as a resource, then we are not able to see (share) its calendar to get the above info. This is key requirement for us to move to zimbra calendar.

Would appreciate any feedback.

You can access the Resource and Location calendars through the admin panel. Go to the Resources, click on one and select 'View Mail'. You can then share the item's calendar to people, or leave it public.
