Wow seems like your using lots of mail clients

For basic IMAP you just use your user name/password and point to your Zimbra server with port 143. I've posted a step by step for Outlook Express with SMTP Auth here:

How to configure SMTP AUTH (TLS) with Outlook Express

Shared calendar/contacts are currently only available with the webclient. Our Outlook MAPI plugin will provide this when it is released.

We don't offer moderated maillists today. You can create distribution lists which anyone can post.

Angry Better instructions?

I tried following your instructions and I can not login to my Zimbra server I have using any client other than the web client.

What are we suppose to put in for the user name on these clients?
On the web client we have to put in username@server.name.whatever.
Do we have to use the same long user name for the other clients or can we just use the username?

A simple table with the information needed and an example would be very helpful.

thanks.

You need to use the full user@domain unless you've configured a default domain. What error are you getting? Do you have the right server name and port?

i just ran into the same problem as you... i think by default SSL for imap is enabled so you have to enbable ssl authentication in your mail client. or you could go to the admin panel and allow clear text login under servers-->your.domain->IMAP

hope that helps
cheers
