    Default follow up tag

Is there a way to flag a sent messege to remind you that you have not received a reply from that messege?

    Thanks

Default Tags seem like a good solution...

You can create a "followup" tag and use it to tag those messages. Would that work for you?

That sounds like what i am talking about but i cannot figure out how to do it. I am guessing that it is easy but for some reason i cannot do it. Can you send me in the right direction?

    Thanks

I have seen the tag feature, but i am looking for something more like what outllook does. When you send an email, you can flag it for a specific date so if you do not get a reply by the date you gave it, it will remind you. Does this sound like something zimbra can do?

    Thanks

I think you're the first user to request that particular piece of Outlook functionality. Please feel free to add an ehancement request to bugzilla for it!

    Default Outlook-type Follow up

    Hello,

First of all, what might work (in 7.1 at least) is to right click the mail and then select "Create Task". This copies the subject of the mail to a new task. Once you create the task, there's no formal link between the two other than the subject (and any tags you might employ). Also, you have to manually enter the due date.

I've created a ticket Bug 61973 – Add template due dates (Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Next Week) to Create Task from Mail which requests the enhancement of expanding the Create Task on the context menu to have an arrow pop-out which allows you to select different Due Meta-Dates (Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Next Week) to pre-populate in the new task in addition to the subject. This is most likely a client only enhancement.

I've also brought up the linking of different zimbra objects. Currently you can do this though tags, but maybe having some special "system" tags used to create many-to-many relationships between mail and tasks, tasks and appointments, etc. would be useful for many new features.
