Why do you have the proxy (and memcached) running on what appears to be a single server? It isn't necessary to run either of those on a single server.

Regarding Zimbra Proxy Guide - Zimbra :: Wiki

"Zimbra Proxy is a high performance POP/IMAP proxy server, which allows end users to access their Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) account using end clients such as Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, or other POP/IMAP end client software. End users can connect using POP3, IMAP, POP3S (Secure POP3), or IMAPS (Secure IMAP). "

So maybe i understand it wrong, but in my understanding proxy is required to access imap service using third party software such thunderbird

Also a tried to debug litlle futher:

    2013/03/27 14:55:42 [debug] 11884#0: *7 SSL_shutdown: 0

You don't need to quote the manual for me, I know what the proxy is - those services are used in a multi-server environment. You do not need the proxy or memcached on a single server and you should remove them, your ZCS installation has an IMAP and POP3 server that is accessible by either of those clients. Search the forums for details on how to disable and remove those services and reset the ports back to the defaults.

    Thank you,

    Those commands helped:

    zmproxyctl stop
    zmprov ms `zmhostname` -zimbraServiceEnabled imapproxy
    zmprov ms `zmhostname` -zimbraServiceEnabled memcached
    zmprov -l ms `zmhostname` zimbraPop3BindPort 110 zimbraPop3SSLBindPort 995 zimbraPop3ProxyBindPort 7110 zimbraPop3SSLProxyBindPort 7995 zimbraImapBindPort 143 zimbraImapSSLBindPort 993 zimbraImapProxyBindPort 7143 zimbraImapSSLProxyBindPort 7993
    zmcontrol stop
    zmcontrol start

Can you tell me if there are any bennefits of using memcached and proxy services ?
Are those services can benefit only in a multi-server environment ?

No, in a single server environment they serve no useful purpose and only use system resources.

Yes, that's what they're aimed at.
