Default After upgrading from 8.0.2 -> 8.0.3 start problems (ldap)

    Hi 2gether

After upgrading vom ZCS 8.0.2 to 8.0.3 I can't start the ZCS with following errors:

    Code:
    zimbra@zimbra:~$ zmcontrol start
    Host localhost
Unable to determine enabled services from ldap.
Enabled services read from cache. Service list may be inaccurate.
    	Starting ldap...Done.
    Failed.
ldap_url and ldap_master_url cannot be the same on an ldap replica

    I did a:
    Code:
    zmlocalconfig ldap_master_url ldap_url zimbra_server_hostname
    and got a:
    Code:
    zimbra@zimbra:~$ zmlocalconfig ldap_master_url ldap_url zimbra_server_hostname
    ldap_master_url =
    ldap_url =
    zimbra_server_hostname = localhost
So I've just read, this entries for ldap_master_url and ldap_url shouldn't be empty and that the zimbra_server_hostname should be "zimbra.mydomain.com" and not "localhost". Right?

DNS should be fine, as it worked before upgrading. Also a:

    Code:
    zimbra@zimbra:~$ ls -l /opt/zimbra/conf/localconfig.xml
    -rw-r----- 1 zimbra zimbra 69 Mar 21 15:41 /opt/zimbra/conf/localconfig.xml
shows, that ownership/permissions of localconfig.xml should be fine.

I also tried to recreate the certs, but got a bunch of errors like the following for example:

    Code:
    root@zimbra:/opt/zimbra/conf# /opt/zimbra/bin/zmcertmgr createca -new
    chown: invalid option -- '1'
Try `chown --help' for more information.
    ** Creating /opt/zimbra/ssl/zimbra/ca/zmssl.cnf...chown: invalid option -- '1'
Try `chown --help' for more information.
    done
    chown: invalid option -- '1'
Try `chown --help' for more information.
    chown: invalid option -- '1'
Try `chown --help' for more information.
    chown: invalid option -- '1'
Try `chown --help' for more information.
    chown: invalid option -- '1'
Try `chown --help' for more information.
** Creating CA private key /opt/zimbra/ssl/zimbra/ca/ca.key...done.

What went wrong and how can I fix it? Any suggestions are highly appricated! Thanks in advance

Sounds like DNS for your server is utterly broken.

Thank you for your reply. No, DNS was fine as the problem happened while/after I tried to upgrade and before it was running perfectly. I found out, there was a problem during upgrading. So I had to copy the localconfig.xml and the config.save file from the directory .saveconfig/[previous version of zimbra] to /opt/zimbra/.saveconfig and start the upgrade-script again. The script corrected all the wrong values. Afterwards I had to create the certs new and my server was running again.

So the issue is solved now.

I am planning on upgrading from 8.0.0 to 8.0.3 is this an issue I should expect to run into? Does it require creating a new cert as I have a commercial cert? Any info would be appreciated.
