Thread: Can't send mails on fresh Installation.

    Default Can't send mails on fresh Installation.

    Hi !!!!

    I've made a fresh zimbra Installation, to migrate an existing Postfix+Cyrus Imap+OpenLDAP installation. The Operating system is SLES 11 Service Pack2. The zimbra version installed is: Release 8.0.2_GA_5569.SLES11_64_20121210115049 SLES11_64 FOSS edition.

    I've finished the installation. All Services running, logged into the admin account succesfully. Then tryed to send an email to the administrator from the webmail, and I'm getting a popup window with this message:

    Invalid address: admin@server.company.com. com.zimbra.cs.mailbox.MailSender$SafeSendFailedExc eption: MESSAGE_NOT_DELIVERED; chained exception is: com.zimbra.cs.mailclient.smtp.InvalidRecipientExce ption: RCPT failed: Invalid recipient admin@server.company.com: 451 4.3.0 <admin@server.company.com>: Temporary lookup failure

    I've tried this will looking /var/log/zimbra.log and I don't see any relevant message. Network configuration is right, I've also looked DNS cofiguration and is right. I've looked also into: ZimbraMtaMyNetworks - Zimbra :: Wiki, but my server configuration follws what is explained there.

    I guess that would be the problem. Why did you not change the domain name (to your correct domain name) when you were asked during the installation of ZCS?

    I've tried this will looking /var/log/zimbra.log and I don't see

    Hi, let me explain this. Per company policy, I've changed the real server name to server.mycompany.com in the published message. I'll be forwardinf the Output of the requested commands.

    I understand that, I didn't think that was your real domain name.

    My comment was made because you have "server.domain.com" which implies that the FQDN of your server was used as the domain name and that's becasuse ZCS uses that as the default when you didn't change the domain name. Did you, or did you not, change the the domain name to "domain.com" when you were asked during the installation process.

    As requested this is the output of the commands. All output was sanitized, changing the real domain name with MYCOMPANY.

    We want to have a pilot installation working, with a few accounts USERNAME@srv-correo.MYCOMPANY.com.uy. Afther we feel confident, we will create accounts for real users (user@srv-correo.MYCOMPANY.com.uy)

    Unfortunately that isn't all the commands I asked for and you've used the incorrect format for the domain name in the dig command. You're missing the output of the hosts & resolv.conf files and the dig command should be this:

    What does the output of that (and the other dig command) show?
