I had a similar issue. For me the cause was a disclaimer that we were manually adding to our emails using zmprov mcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureEnabled TRUE. for the setting zmprov mcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureHTML “<html><body>Sometext</body></html>" we were not properly opening and closing the html tags. This was easy to test by running zmprov mcf zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureEnabled FALSE. Hopefully this saves someone some time.

What is your setting for zimbraDomainMandatoryMailSignatureEnabled ?

Did you file a bug in the Zimbra bugzilla?

I have a bit different problem with particular attachment on one client (domain signature is off)

If I open message in Zimbra web client, it shows attachment (as forwarded message without extension)
and when clicked it pops up another window with actual attachment (302KB PDF) and no body text.
Downloading doesn't work and gives me unknown filename with 0 bytes.

Inspecting message I found out that PDF attachment is actually in message body without base64 encoding.

Opening attachment with Outlook or Thunderbird works fine. Possible bug in Zimbra web client 8.0.4 NE perhaps?

I ran into this problem after we upgraded from Zimbra 7.2.6 to 8.0.6.

Although switching off the global mandatory signature does work, I've discovered that the problem is not so much with the html tags but with the content. Strictly speaking a signature footer should start with a blank line followed by two hyphens followed by your text on a new line. So, edit /opt/zimbra/data/altermime/global-default.html to show "<html><body><p>--<br />Some text.</p></body></html>"

The <p> tag supplies the initial blank line and the <br /> tag the new line. I've tested this and users can now add attachments which actually get attached and sent AND the email can end with a global footer. I hope this helps others.

    Hi

I also have problem with attaching keynote files in zimbra web interface. I just drag and drop the file to the attachment area and it just keep spinning the wheel trying to attach the file but nothing actually attaches.
any ideas on what to do to fix this issue.

I am using Zimbra version 7.2.6
    OS - Mac 10.9.2

    Thanks

Have you tested to see whether the problem is being caused by your global mandatory signature file? Admittedly, this problem only occurred for me once I'd moved to Zimbra 8 and you're still with version 7.2.6.

    Regards,
    Nigel

Thanks, I haven't considered this at all.
I'll check the signature file and see if that works without it.

    Thanks once again
    Ratna
